Overview
The college maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging in accordance with the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and the regulations of the University Grants Commission.
● Ragging is strictly prohibited within the campus, hostels, classrooms, college transport, and in any activity associated with the institution.
● Ragging includes any form of disorderly conduct, whether by spoken or written words or actions, that involves teasing, harassment, intimidation, or rude behaviour towards a fellow student, particularly freshers or junior students.
● Any act that causes physical discomfort, mental stress, fear, humiliation, embarrassment, or psychological harm to a student will be treated as ragging.
● Forcing a student to perform acts that they would not ordinarily do, or that may affect their dignity or self-respect, is also considered ragging.
● The college has a fully functional Anti-Ragging Committee and Anti-Ragging Squad to monitor and prevent ragging on campus.
● The Anti-Ragging Committee is chaired by the Principal and includes representatives from the management, local police, Panchayath ward member, PTA members, faculty, and student representatives.
● Regular awareness programmes and orientation sessions are conducted to educate students about the consequences of ragging and to promote a culture of respect and inclusiveness.
● At the time of admission, all students and parents are required to submit an Anti-Ragging Undertaking as mandated by the Supreme Court guidelines.
● Strict disciplinary action will be taken against anyone found involved in ragging, including suspension, expulsion, or legal action as per the law.
The institution is committed to ensuring a safe, respectful, and supportive campus environment for all students. Any incident or complaint related to ragging may be reported immediately to the Anti-Ragging Committee.
